Tyler Allgeier has "too much good game tape to ignore."
One of the 2023 story lines continues to be the role of Bijan Robinson in a league continuing to devalue the position. Robinson remains, unquestionably, the top overall dynasty prospects in rookie drafts, but Tyler Allgeier was a 1,000-yard rusher as a rookie and is working hard this spring to become an all-around back. Robinson will be moved around the formation and a recent Sports Illustrated piece suggested Allgeier could even out-produce Robinson on the ground. Hard to imagine but not out of the question. Recently turned 23, Allgeier, DLF's RB48, experienced a massive slide in dynasty value following the Falcons' selection of Robinson, and now rests near a career-low ADP (155). Enterprising dynasty owners should continue to watch Allgeier's dynasty value for a potential buy-low acquisition opportunity for potential future value.

The Atlanta Falcons drafted Bijan Robinson in the 2023 NFL Draft.
There was a lot of buzz the Atlanta Falcons were high on Bijan Robinson but given the success of Tyler Allgeier and the glaring needs on the Falcons, Robinson seemed like a luxury option.Heading into the draft, Allgeier was the dynasty RB39 after surpassing 1,000 rushing yards last year. He will still see the field but dynasty managers should temper expectations as Robinson will dominate the running back touches for the Falcons.

Tyler Allgeier's future could be in question if the Falcons select Bijan Robinson 8th-overall in the 2023 NFL Draft.
There's a growing narrative that the Falcons love Robinson enough to take him 8th-overall on day-one of the NFL Draft, even though Allgeier rushed for over 1,000 yards in his 2022 rookie campaign. Allgeier averaged a healthy 4.9 ypc. for the struggling Falcons. He doesn't offer significant upside as a receiver though could have upside in this regard. This is a simple case where the team could be on the clock with a transcendent player available who provides an immediate advantage on Sundays. That said, with the continuing devaluation of running backs in today's NFL, would a team with needs across both formations reverse the recent trend with a selection of Robinson? It's one of the polarizing stories as we head into the draft. If Robinson is selected, could Allgeier immediately be on the trade block? We'll know soon enough. Tyler Allgeier is found as DLF's RB39 and this ranking hangs in the balance as Atlanta goes on the clock.

Falcons running back Tyler Allgeier had 83 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries in Atlanta's win against Arizona.
Allgeier has continued to take carries away from Cordarrelle Patterson in recent weeks and he's becoming quite the workhorse for the Falcons late in the season. While much will be determined in the off-season, it's clear Allgeier has a solid chance to be the true RB1 for Atlanta next year. Allgeier's ranking of RB46 is looking like a relative bargain at the moment. The Falcons could add to the depth chart through the NFL Draft or free agency, but Allgeier is looking like a solid option at the moment.
