2023 Off-Season Mock Drafts: Seven-Round NFL Mock and Fantasy Fallout

With the Chicago Bears' trade of the first overall pick, things are heating up ahead of the NFL Draft, approximately five weeks from now. Therefore, I wanted to look at a complete, seven-round NFL mock draft and deduct the fantasy impact of those predicted landing spots. I used Drafttek.com's NFL mock draft from March 11, 2023. I'll break down each position in order of picks and discuss the fantasy impact (if any) of the selections.

QUARTERBACK

The Panthers moved up to the first overall pick to select their quarterback of the future, and they paid a steep price to make that happen. I like CJ Stroud to Carolina, but after moving DJ Moore to get him, what weapons will the young signal caller have at his disposal? Currently, his top options will be Terrace Marshall, Laviska Shenault, and Hayden Hurst, with Miles Sanders out of the backfield. Again, I like the player, but it's not a great supporting cast for a rookie entering the league.

Kendre Miller went undrafted in this so I stopped reading.

There’s so much RB talent available this year in draft and free agency that someone like Miller could go undrafted. He would get a lot of calls immediately after though.

I think Miller gets drafted, but you’re 100% correct in theory. We’re going to several a couple of RBs we love fall out of this draft entirely just like we saw in the loaded 2017 class. Ekeler & Breida were both small school guys, but both were on my radar heading into the draft, and both went undrafted. Plan on a few guys this year to fall.
