We take a look at four running backs and what to do with them right now.

The 2023 NFL Draft has come and gone. We dynasty managers dive into rookie drafts, a lot of changes and it is time to adjust quicker than your league mates. I will use my own trades to support this article. Here are four running backs to watch after the NFL Draft:

Najee Harris, PIT - Buy

Harris is one of five active players averaging over 21 opportunities (rush attempts and targets) per game for his career. Unfortunately, his profile looks similar to late career Ezekiel Elliott and current Joe Mixon instead of a third-year running back in his prime. Unlike those players, his RB11 price is tolerable in certain roster builds compared to the value those players carried at their peak. The Steelers did nothing to add to the backfield and they significantly upgraded their offensive line. Understand what you are buying, but find a few spots to add Harris where you can.

The Move – Considering buying him with a late first-round pick next season. It is a big investment to give away the flexibility of a future pick, but if your team needs an anchor and floor at running back, this is by far the safest bet going into the season. If his efficiency reverts back to 2021, the value could be a home run.

Nice work as usual Scott. I’m glad to see someone agrees with me on Najee. The Henderson angle was interesting. I actually still have him on a bench or two and was wondering what to do with him. I guess I know now.

Somewhere they are needed. I expect them to be free agents for a while, possibly into the season.

It is hard for me to be too down on Harris. He was injured all of last season, has a developing offensive line (and added a OT in the 1st round), and Pickett has a season under his belt. If anything holds Najee Harris back, I believe it will be the OC Matt Canada.
