Great stuff Jason. I just grabbed Jewell in both my IDP leagues. R. Smith, F. Warner, Kendricks, J Brooks and Jewell in one and F. Warner, T. Edmunds, CJ Mosely, L. Wilson, B. Martinez and Jewell in the other. I look for 3 down LB’s that are tackling machines. Wondering about Edmunds though. Q. Williams is out there. Do you think Perryman repeats? I think the kid Houston drafted has a good future, Christian Harris, but does he start this year? I’d love to see your list of 3 down LB’s as you see it now in your crystal ball if you had the time. Thanks again.

I think you’re right to wonder about Edmunds. And Perryman is definitely a question mark for a three-down role again – I could see him coming off the field on passing downs. As for Christian Harris he’s definitely in a good spot for 2023 and beyond, but Kirksey is in his way for now, and they have Grugier-Hill and Reeves-Maybin too. I’ll work on posting a 3-down list somewhere – Mike Woellert (4for4 and now DLF too) really stays on top of that list at 4for4.

Thanks Jason, I’ll look for Mike’s 4for4 in the meantime. Is Pete Werner or Q Williams or Perryman or one of the Texans an improvement over Edmunds in projected tackles at this point?

Of that group, Edmunds would be the safest bet to lead in tackles this season.
Perryman I think has the highest tackle ceiling should he stick in a three-down role. I think there’s a chance he comes off the field on passing downs given the presence of Jayon Brown and Deablo.
Williams is the cheapest and most volatile of the group. He certainly at the moment looks like a three-down LB next to Mosley. Volume = production at LB.
Werner is my favorite of that group to have the most value in 2023. But at the moment I would bet on him having the fewest tackles of that group in 2022.
