Great article. Coincidentally enough, I was looking at the comparison between these 2 this morning!

Njoku is what he is…which has been very underwhelming even with his 5 years of experience. I don’t see him getting better. Give me the new blood with upside, who hasn’t fizzled out yet. I can find Njoku on the waiver wire.

Hmm. This is a dynasty site. If you can find Njoku on the waiver wire, that seems like a surprise.

The point is Njoku has been anything special…hasn’t lived up to the billing at all after 5 seasons. Gimme McBride and his potential. At worst, he’s Njoku…

I think there is confusion when I say “I can find Njoku on the waiver wire”. What I mean is…I can find his “production” on the waiver wire, not the actual player.

The point is Njoku hasnt been anything special at all after 5 seasons…rather the “potential” in a newly drafted guy like McBride.

I understand the shiny new toy mindset, and I’m happy with either. But you are sleeping on Njoku. Good QB finally, shift in run vs pass offense, it’s lining up for him to be solid and get the targets he deserves. I bought him in leagues last year for 4th round picks hoping he went to a better situation. Turns out he did, without having to go far. In 3-4yrs McBride may be the choice, but for the next 2-3 give me Njoku.

I got Njoku all day…
I think he will show his true value with Watson at QB…after 5 years u will finally see his breakout…all that talent ready to explode with a top 5 QB…
McBride I like too but talent wise it’s not close..and that will be shown as soon as Watson gets on the field!!

The dynasty community has a tough time moving on… especially when you had a guy being a star coming into the league. I move on too quickly usually but with another year with a bad qb in a run heavy offense that utilizes multiple TEs, Njoku is not worth waiting another year. For the year 6 breakout…

Did you miss where he already had a TE1 finish? With good QB play he will be back there again and has several years ahead of him to do so. Run first with Watson? Not for long…
