I’m in a 12 team SF and am in a rebuild. I plan to compete in 2023 and traded Lance for Christian Watson Skyy Moore and a 2023 1st giving me 3 total. I still have Fields Z. Wilson and Lawrence at QB. Thoughts on the deal? One day I feel great about it the next not so much!

If that pick is too 5 I’d like it, late 1st I’d be ok but waffle.

Trey Lance’s value is also insulated by how much SF has invested in him, literally (in terms of draft capital) and metaphorically (in terms of the reputation hit to the GM and Head Coach if he doesn’t pan out). Therefore they will do everything to maximise his strengths and ensure he succeeds… for this reason I would rank him above Jalen Hurts for dynasty, as it feels he has a lot less invested in him by the team – if he doesn’t take that step forward as a passer this year, it’s possible the Eagles are drafting a new QB in 2023… but that’s just not going to happen in Lance’s case
