Their award-winning projections have a weekly or Rest-of-Season option, and you can sync your leagues to allow for better visibility into where your players are ranked and what waiver options are available in each league.

Week 2 is here and hopefully, it’s as successful for you as Week 1 was for me. If you haven’t already, make sure you are checking out John Daigle’s waiver wire column. This week we have a lot of elite passing games in average to above-average matchups and a lot of big-name receivers projecting highly.

*Note: All rankings are half-PPR and are courtesy of 4for4’s Week 2 rankings.

What Stands Out: There are a lot of elite quarterbacks and passing games in great spots this week, but there is only one Josh Allen.

Analysis: Obviously, Josh Allen is an unfadeable monster at the top. He’s in an above-average matchup and projects a full two points clear of Jalen Hurts. That’s a similar distance between Joe Burrow (10th) and Matt Ryan (16th). Looking at the rest of the top five, Hurts and Justin Herbert stand out for their great matchups. Herbert and Patrick Mahomes will likely put on a show on Amazon Prime on Thursday night, even with Herbert missing Keenan Allen at receiver. I don’t feel great about what I saw from Kyler Murray or Russell Wilson in Week 1, but you can’t panic and should trust the 4for4 projections. One player out of the top 10 to keep an eye on is Trey Lance. His floor is high because of his rushing ability and presumably, he won’t be playing in a swamp during a bad storm again like Week 1.

* Check out the full QB rankings here.

What Stands Out: Antonio Gibson was left for dead in mid-August and here he is in the top 10 in Week 2.

Analysis: Elite workloads at the top separate Jonathan TaylorChristian McCaffrey, and Saquon Barkley from the rest of the pack. McCaffrey is in the best matchup but also has the most questionable offense of the three. I can’t say I saw that coming before Week 1. The Chargers spread carries and targets around like they don’t have elite weapons at running back and receiver. Hopefully, we’ll see Ekeler with a massive workload again on Thursday night. Nick Chubb gets the Jets, so at least he will be able to compile a big rushing total again after Kareem Hunt had both touchdowns last week. We can’t project the Dallas offense to do much of anything without Dak Prescott, so game script is a huge plus for Joe Mixon this week. Outside of the top 10, Darrell Henderson’s workload looks very safe and after what Taysom Hill did to the Falcons on the ground last week, Henderson is a nice play.

* Check out the full RB rankings here.

What Stands Out: Seven of the top 10 receivers have elite matchups this week, but Justin Jefferson just went nuclear in a sub-par matchup in Week 1.

Analysis: This feels like a big week of receiver scoring in season-long fantasy football. DFS might be a little different with so many of the big names off the main slate, but we’ll still have Cooper KuppDavante AdamsJa’Marr Chase, and Mike Evans. Not much to say about Kupp, Adams, and Chase. They have an elite number of targets headed their way and are in great matchups. As noted, Justin Jefferson has another tough matchup this week, but he’s so talented and a potential shootout against the Eagles awaits as the late kickoff on Monday Night Football. After an injury to Chris Godwin, it looked like Mike Evans could be in for a huge night, but the Cowboys put up zero fight on Sunday Night Football. Evans was fine (5 catches on 7 targets for 71 yards and a touchdown), and hopefully the Bucs get tested this week by the Saints. It turns out Tyreek Hill is still Tyreek Hill even if Tua Tagovailoa is the one throwing him the ball. He was tied for the sixth-most targets on the week and trailed only Adams of the elite receivers in target rate at 30%. Outside of the top 10, I’d note how far CeeDee Lamb fell down the ranks. Check out the full rankings to see where.

* Check out the full WR rankings here.

What Stands Out: There’s Travis Kelce. Then there is Mark Andrews. And then everyone else.

Analysis: Kelce and Andrews do rise above the rest even after a slow week from all the other elite tight ends. Darren Waller was quiet as Davante Adams led the way against the Chargers. Hopefully, in what should be a high-scoring affair against the Cardinals, he can rebound in Week 2. T.J. Hockenson did have seven targets as the Lions played catch-up against the Eagles. He looks to be in another good spot this week as second-year LB Jamin Davis looked lost for portions of the game in coverage for the Commanders last week. A Dallas Cowboy in the top 10 of their position! Dalton Schultz sneaks into the back half as a security blanket for Cooper RushZach Ertz salvaged his day late in Week 1 but was just 27th among tight ends in target rate. Outside of the top 10, Robert Tonyan posted a 22.7% target rate last week and the Green Bay offense can’t get any worse. Hopefully.

* Check out the full TE rankings here.

Why should I be paying more money for access to rankings? Last year’s subscription price included access to weekly rankings.

Over the years we’ve tried our hand at various weekly “rankings” or projections, but ultimately those who study DFS and redraft matchups do it better. So instead of throwing up rankings that weren’t great, or just completely ignoring the topic, we chose the option to provide a highlight of the best weekly rankings in the industry (4for4).
You can see the same article there for free, but to get full rankings/projections for each week, as well as the rest of the season, you’ll need a subscription to their site. Fortunately, we also have a promotion with Vivid Picks that allows new users to create an account using the promo code DLF, deposit $15 or more (matched up to $100) and then get the Betsperts Bundle free! And that gives you a full season of access to 4for4, as well as DLF, Betsperts, and Fantasy Life App. The other positive is you can do this from any state, even if you aren’t eligible to play the funds until you’re physically in an approved state.

Also meant to mention, we did have a weekly rankings article last year, but it wasn’t heavily utilized at all. And there are about 15 things we’ve added this year included in the same subscription price that we didn’t have previously.
We’ll continue to evaluate our content and offerings, but ultimately felt we’d rather provide quality dynasty analysis instead of redraft content available all over the internet.

I use 4for4 rankings, since I won a free subscription for them here on DLF and I must say that I do pretty well with their rankings and am very happy with 4for4 and most likely well continue to use their subscription again next season as well and be happy to pay for it.

It is very weird to subscribe to a fantasy football site and not get weekly rankings included in a subscription. Very weird. With the talent working for DLF, it’s kind of cop out to say “somebody else does it better so we’re not going to even attempt it”. Not sure how you can say it “wasn’t utilized”. If you subscribe to a FF site, of course you peek at it each week to see what their thoughts are. And showing top 10 is worthless. If we have a top 10 player of course they’re already in our lineup. If you need to be told Jonathan Taylor is good, then you suck at fantasy football. It’s that 2nd-3rd tier or 5th/6th guy in our lineup that we’re debating. For me this is having the opposite effect. Instead of making me want to pour out more money for another subscription it’s making me rethink this one. It’s the only one I pay for – but if it’s too much to ask to do a weekly in season ranking, then it’s not as helpful. I come for the rookie rankings and trade tool, I stay because of the in season stuff. Weekly rankings are one of the biggest in season stuff you can provide. At least show top 25-30 vs. top 10.

Sausenbaugh, thanks for the comment. While I understand why you might think it’s weird that we aren’t putting out weekly rankings, we also aren’t just a “fantasy football site,” we’re a dynasty football site. This means we have tons of dynasty rankings, which we consistently and frequently update. The inverse of that is most fantasy football sites don’t have dynasty rankings, because that isn’t what they’re focusing on.
It certainly isn’t meant as a cop-out to not produce weekly rankings, it’s just a better utilization of our time, finances, and energy to focus on dynasty content first and foremost.

I’ve been a subscriber for years because this has always been a great, complete dynasty site. It’s the only subscription I’ve ever paid for because of that and I’ve really enjoyed it. The focus on the dynasty side while limiting/ignoring the week-to-week in season content has me disappointed though – especially with no heads up on the scale back until after the season started. I guess that’s the beauty of free market. If people are still happy paying as much or more for less than you’ll still do great. If people are turned off they can just go away after this year. I’ll have to decide if paying that much for just the dynasty side outweighs the in-season needs I guess.

Side note – the fact that you even tease with the top 10 shows it’s a desired need on DLF. Give the people what they want! 🙂

Thanks for the follow up. Believe me, we definitely put a lot of thought into the value of having positional rankings again throughout the season, but decided to go a different direction for the reasons I gave previously.
Of course, there’s still a need for weekly rankings or at least a place to get start/sit questions answered (we have 3 dedicated places/formats to do that, by the way – 1) Our weekly Lineup Advice column (https://dynastyleaguefootball.com/2022/09/13/lineup-advice-strategy-team-tracking-week-two/) 2) Weekly (Sunday) Discord Chat channel (https://discord.gg/UsBTfqsu) 3) Sunday AM Start/Sit Advice Live Video Chat on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/c/DynastyLeagueFootball/featured).
By the way, 2 of the 3 of those weren’t offered previously at DLF, so we’re certainly not scaling back, but rather ramping up in a strategic direction. And we aren’t ignoring anything in season, we’re focusing on how to best help dynasty owners.

Hi, I agree with the parent to this thread. smh.

So from what I gather is, rather than seek out FREE rankings from a source that actually does weekly projections, some people would rather PAY for, and base thier lineups off of what DLF admits might not be the most accurate rankings in the 1st place. Whatever floats your boat. My suggestion would be to find a source you trust for your rankings and if you’re still on the fence about which 2nd or 3rd tier player to start, come back here and post your question in the weekly Lineup and WDIS thread. There you’ll get the personalized advise you’re NOT going to get on any other site.
