Hey Jeff, 1-PPR. if JT cant go, Zeke or Pollard vs Rams? Gut would be to roll with Pollard.

Looks like JT is out. This is probably a coin flip but the usage suggests Zeke. He’s playing the snaps, isn’t that far behind in receptions and he’s better in protection in this match up which is unfavorable to both. I’ll go Zeke but trust your gut. At least in PPR you get points for the receptions but predicting this one is tough.

1) I’ll take the upside guaranteed touches of Hall who is starting to trend
2) London without question though I’m starting to get excited about Dobbins again after a slow start
3) Between Singletary and Penny due to guaranteed touches. Singletary at home in a decent matchup vs PIT, Penny on the road again in a touch matchup vs. NO. These two backs are so close in production so it’s a complete draw here. Weather no factor.
I’m going with Singletary due to recent usage, script and matchup. I think BUF rolls PIT and Singletary is going to post across multiple categories.

I’m sitting Dobbins one more week to see if he follows on to week four. Hall is trending enough to keep him in. Lamb and Higgins are automatic for me though I do wonder how much Ramsey will shadow Lamb.

Hey Jeff, Trade question here- 12 team, .5, 2 rb + flex. On the lookout for another rb after the Williams injury and this morning was offered Penny and Walker for Herbert, Pacheco and a late 23 1st. My other backs are Dillon, Gibson and Mckissic, so its not pretty to say the least. Im currently 6-2 and high scorer in the league, so I was thinking I had shot this year. Is it to much to give up? Thanks in advance for your advice

So it’s not superflex it seems. If it is, I don’t do this deal but if it’s not superflex, it’s a deal I’d do as long as you feel good about your QB situation. If you’re competing the loss of Williams is a bad blow but not catastrophic as long as you have the depth to recover. Getting Penny and Walker would really increase your flexibility. If it is superflex, it gets much more difficult to do as herbert is currently in the top three of QBs.

Hey Jeff, 10 team PPR, 1 QB league. Do I start Jacobs or Najee Harris? I am assuming Jacobs with Pickett making his first career start vs Buffalo. Your thoughts?

Yes, Harris hasn’t performed largely to reduced receptions and poor O-line play and the script for tomorrow is not good. Safeties are going to cheat into the box until Pickett can establish the mid and deep routes and get the air yards to push them out. Longer term, Pickett’s more aggressive nature should help Harris.
But for now, this is a Jacobs play

Is it time to bench Pitts? He’s been a huge disappointment. Long-term I think he’ll be fine. My other options are: Dynasty #4 1 PPR Flex—LThomas TE, EMoore WR, or Gainwell RB / Dynasty #3 1 PPR—LThomas TE or RTonyan TE. In D#4 I’m leaning Moore, and in D#3 I’m torn. Thanks!

Probably and he only has one TD in 21 games. He’s still a worthwhile asset but to say he’s disappointed I believe is an understatement. I’d much rather have Moore in. You’re going to miss a big game but that’s the price to be paid. Or, you start him and just weather the storm. I’ve done that before too.
In the other one it’s a toss up but I’ll take tonyan as his role is growing and he finally looks healthy and a bit more dynamic.

The script for Gordon is too great with no Williams now. I start him over Hunt, who could also have a good game a well. Zeke is in a true RBBC and I think he sees good touches this week but it’s a tough matchup. Gordon without much questions

Personally, I’d be looking to see if he has any interest in White, Pacheco, Doubs, etc. Capitalize on the lost year of Williams to see if you can move some of the players who are getting hype now. I moved Pacheco and Brandin Cooks for a 23 1st not long ago. I like Pacheco but when I can move an aging receiver and an unknown production asset like Pacheco for a 1st, I’ll do it!
if you have to throw a late 1st in 2023 with another player, that’s fine too. I think you have enough assets to acquire Williams for future value while not risking your 22 production.

I’m leaning Theilen and Davis, even though Davis has been not productive lately. Doubs has gotten another week of good targets but I shy away from London games. I also am already starting Singletary and Jones at RB if that factors at all.

Howdy Eastman. Well, vacation kind of blew up when my wife’s father had a health issue and will be having surgery this Friday. We had to pack up and head to Boise where I’m typing now. Covid visitation rules are still pretty rigid.
this is a three sided coin flip and I’d agree with the London variable. Thielen is automatic this week I worry a bit about Davis and his injury but this is a good matchup for him if healthy. Doubs’ line wasn’t as good as it looked on paper but I like how he’s being used. I’ll take Davis as the second by a nose.

RB: Barkley and Robinson but the second RB is a coin flip. Robinson’s efficiency is too good to pass up but last week he laid and egg. I really like Herbert’s matchup the best but I continue to believe we’ll see loaded boxes vs. CHI until Fields demonstrates he can pass with efficiency downfield. Akers not in the mix because he’s being misused but one of the most frustrating coaches in the NFL. Gordon is worthwhile here on touches alone with no Williams. Not crazy about the matchup but he could see the most combined touches. I’m sticking with Robinson but it’s so close between all three.
Evans, lamb and DJM. I’m split on Allen and DJM with a slight edge to Moore due to matchup and being at home while Allen is returning from injury on the road in CLE.

DJ and Doubs without question. Etienne is on the bench until we see some consistent double digit production games … he doesn’t have the role yet we need to start him over either of the receivers. Doub is a risk on play but he’s trending well. His stats weren’t as good as they seemed but good enough to keep him trending. He’s still establishing himself. Sit ETN due to poor production/role.
Oh and my hope is that they sit Swift one more week at least. I don’t see him as an auto start with that injury

Brown and Sutton without question. Johnson was generating double digit targets but laid an egg last week. now we have the rookie Pickett starting and there’s too much risk on to DJ’s production. Brown has been too productive to sit and Sutton is operating as the WR1. good nuff to stick with

WR: DK and Godwin – If Godwin is up and healthy as it appears he is, I have him in by default. Davis is right there however and could be the ceiling play here. I hate sitting him.
TE: Njoku is the ceiling play here and I’m excited to see how he progresses but I’m sticking with Waller here. They’re trying to get him more involved and I think his production will pick up from here. Keep him in for now while we wait for Schultz to get back to a production level we’re used to. it means you’ll miss his first big game but it’s better than taking multiple low score while waiting.

Hey Jeff, follow up response here. I had originally asked about trading herbert, pacheco and a late 23 1st for Ken Walker and Rashaad Penny. My fault for not specifying originally but that was KHALIL Herbert and not Justin..all rbs involved here..I lost J Williams last week, im currently in first but my only other backs are Gibson, McKissic, Dillon, Herbert and Pacheco. I know its irrelevant now but no it isnt superflex and my qb is Lamar. Thanks for taking the time to answer sir and safe travels

Diggs, McLaurin and Jeudy for me because of the Pickett factor. In a vacuum, DJ is the play but if I had a dime for every time I started a good WR in a new QB situation that did nothing that week, I’d at least have a few dollars. LOL.
I’m just not sure what I’m thinking about Jeudy these days. I’ve expected more but now is about the time he should start posting. Chemistry with a new QB takes a bit.

Such a tough call here because I love the script for Singletary. But I’m going with Gordon who should see 70%+ of the touches tonight in my estimation. Good script as well, the matchup could be a bit better but I’ll lean on him this week

Hi, Jeff, I appreciate the guidance. I have a 12 team SF TE premium, start 10, where I am 1-3, largely because of injuries (Dak, JT and Swift).
I plan to start: Goff and Mayfield; Josh Jacobs and Mike Boone (over Michael Carter and Isaiah Pacheco); Justin Jefferson, AJ Brown, Elijah Moore and George Pickens (sitting Bateman because of injury); and Njoku and Pitts (sitting Kmet). Would you start any of the players I am sitting over who I plan to start? I’m concerned at the RB position, but what can you do.

Thanks Owen. I’m playing dogsitter for my sister in law and just got home after a 7 hour drive. Covid visitation restrictions are pretty strict so I took the dog and headed home so his daughters could be there for him without having to worry about logistics. He’s got a great attitude and I’m hoping for the best. Appreciate it.

1) Amon Ra and Williams. If St. Brown doesn’t play Williams and Johnson.I don’t like starting receivers with new QB situations but Wilson is pretty close as is and that offense is tough to predict. I trust Johnsons double digit target average if St. Brown is out.
2) Olave, Doubs and Davis. Juju is a tough sit and it’s too soon for Pickens until we see him post back to back good weeks. I’m with your on ARob … he’s killing me. That said, I think he turns it around by week 6.

As much as I usually hate TNF games for fantasy, Jeudy or Aiyuk tonight? Also have Alec Pierce who seems to be coming on lately but not sure how confident I’d feel about in other than maybe in a flex spot. Duvernay is my only other WR choice after the first two and may be a sneaky play if Bateman is out this weekend.

So tough but I’m going Jeudy. Aiyuk just can’t break through and I think Jeudy’s ceiling is higher though both have probably a 6 point floor. Not great. But Jeudy is getting close to getting on Wilson’s page – I’ve been watching the development of their chemistry and I think Jeudy breaks out this week or next week. Don’t normally like TNF games for WR breakouts.

Howdy Chad,
Not Bateman or ETN. I don’t like the efficiency of either sadly … I think both will get better over time, but not yet.
In PPR, I’m taking Jeudy though I love how Dobbins is starting to turn it up. I want to see one more week before starting him though I think he has the higher floor … just not the ceiling of Jeudy. Jeudy’s floor is about 6-7 tonight but I think he’s going to break out tonight or, more likely, next week. If not for the TNF game … this should be a good script for him.
I love Njoku and he’s been one of my sleepers this year so I’m glad to see him finally break out a bit. I think it’s time to sit Pitts until we see him post. At this point you have to resign yourself that you’ll miss his big game but even a big game doesn’t promise another one. We need to see back to back games from him. It’s close with Waller vs. Njoku but I’m going against the grain to start Njoku here. He’s been consistent with targets and production.

Thanks STephen, much appreciated. I came back home today because after the surgery, Covid restrictions ramp up and there’s already too many of us there so I left my wife and her sister and took her sister’s dog so they could concentrate on being with their Dad. Keeping my fingers crossed.

1) I’m fine with benching Juju but this could be his week. Strating Njoku over Zeke is something I don’t think I can do but I get it. I love McKenzie as a high upside ceiling flex but watch that injury. I’d start Zeke over Njoku but it’s a judgment call
2) Yup, those are the three and Robinson is killing me too. I think he turns it around by/in week 7-8. It takes time to get into a new system with a new QB. Usually 6-8 games.

PPR –
1) Based on your earlier posts and the matchup, assuming you would prefer JRob as my #2 RB (after CEH) over Jacobs, Penny, Wilson, or Mostert. But now I would need two flex from those RB’s listed plus Renfrow, Pickens, or possibly Agnew who has Zay Jones returning. I’ve been playing 4 RB’s since week one but a bit scared of subbing in either Renfrow or Pickens this week. Just could use really some advice on choosing two out of Jacobs, Penny, and Wilson.

2) Tonyan or Dissly? Engram or Dissly? (two different teams)

3) How about a second RB from White, Henderson, Edmonds, or Mostert? Whomever you don’t pick is probably at least one of my two needed flex since all I have left there are Parker, Agnew, and Hardman.

4) Trying to go 2-1 without Dak for hopefully just one more week. I have Geno and JimmyG to choose from on my roster or do I pick up Teddy, Zach W, Brissett, or Tannehill off waivers early Sunday AM?

Howdy Tonto,
1) Penny has that tough matchup I’d like to avoid with better options. I’m a bit torn on Robinson and Jacobs but it’s been hard to get a grip on Jacobs’ usage and game script could put this more to a passing battle for LV, which hurts Jacobs. I do go JRob here who has been doing well until last week. I really like how Wilson runs and he’s a very close candidate as well but I’m sticking with Robinson in a game script would should favor him.
2) Tonyan and Engram. Dissly has been interesting but it’s a three headed TEBC there and I’m staying away from it, including Fant.
3) Toss up here but I’ll take Henderson at home vs. DAL. This one comes down to who is going to get more reception yards and they’ve both been playing very evenly. Henderson has been the better runner and has the better matchup
4) Surprisingly, I lost Dak as well and one of my top teams is 4-0, I’m starting Cooper Rush yet again. This is a very interesting call. Wilson actually has the best matchup vs. MIA. The performance trend is on Geno but I don’t want anything to do with him at NO. I’m taking Bridgewater here with those weapons as long as Hill is up and starting. If Hill is down, I will reluctantly play Geno since he has the receivers to make for a higher ceiling.

This is about as close to a four sided coin flip as you can get. Getting the correct two is going to be VERY difficult. We’re goin to use trend + matchup to not overthink it.
CEH and Wilson for me based on touches and role. Dobbins is a tough sit in .5 but I need to see one more week of his usage, especially inside the 10. As for Hunt, he’s just not in the mix with this group.

Good morning Jeff,
1) Ppr, 6pt pass TD – Would you start Jamaal Williams or Davis Mills?
2) TD and >300 yards only scoring – Brady or Hurts.
I have Williams and Hurts in now, but have switched them both a couple times, lol. Real conviction!
Boise is pretty nice, but traffic getting bad. Ran a 100 mile race around Eagle Island a few years ago. Take care.

Howdy Clyde
1) That Jville defense is no joke and they surrender about 16 points to QBs … but that’s with 4 pts per TD. Mills has thrown 3 TDs to 4 INTs in the past two games and 245 yards each. QB rating not great but could be worse. This is really about the damage Williams could do but in this case I’m going against the majority and the grain and going with Mills. As long as you don’t get huge negatives for Ints, I go Mills here.
2) I think you have to go Hurts with the upside/ceiling. Without much question to be honest.
I liked Boise but it’s a lot like Montana in growth … so many new people and residents seem to be getting grumpy about it. It’s the same way here in the PacNW.

How about a DST question –
I’ve got the Cowboys and Jags on a couple of teams and adding in the Dolphins to those two on one more. Any strong preferences from those mentioned? Was looking ahead for the next few weeks try to get a few extra points but would really hope our leagues would just drop the DST option. I’d rather have another offensive player to roster.

So many leagues are now doing away with DST and K and I much prefer that as well. I’ve been adding the Dolphins but after a hot start they’ve cooled considerable. If you have the Jags, hold onto them … they’re scoring well and have been consistent. I’d be leaning on them nearly every week.

PPR
1)Stevenson or Wilson for my RB #2 after CMC. They have been almost even for several weeks with Stevenson’s receiving numbers working in PPR making up for TD’s.

2) Need two flex from St. Brown (if he plays), Lazard, Mooney, Aiyuk, and Parker. If Amon-Ra is out, it might have to come from Lazard and whichever RB you preferred the least in my question above.

3) Is Duvernay startable as my #3 WR with Bateman out. Agholor and Agnew are my only other choices.

4) Gallup, Davis, or Mooney for a different team’s WR #3?

1) I like Wilson due to guaranteed touches and potential for the big play. They are close enough to be almost a coin flip but I’ll take the larger role of touches
2) Amon Ra, Lazard, Aiyuk in that order. If you can play Rhamondre after Lazard, I’d go that route
3) Yes, but I’m not highly confident, but he’s been posting
4) Davis as long as he plays … and I think he will. Mooney if not. I need to see Gallup post for a week or two before playing him.

On that earlier QB question – Cooper Rush is actually available on waivers as well as the others I mentioned. He has a pretty consistent floor, but needing as many points as possible, I had thought either Geno or Teddy as my higher ceiling options. Zach had a decent last game but I don’t have a lot of confidence in him yet. Our BB waivers are at 7 am Pacific so let me see what I can do there. Losing Swift for a few weeks left me short on RB’s and after TNF I’m down 25-0 already. Ouch…

After CMC, how would you rank the following RB’s for two NON-PPR flex slots –
Penny, Wilson, Dillon, Dobbins, Stevenson, and Allgeier?

Great news on the surgery.
With Lazard playing very early, I may have to pencil him in and then go Amon Ra (if he’s active) or Stevenson instead of Aiyuk. Worried a little about St Brown in his first game back.

Teddy is the risk reward play with a chance for a ceiling game. He takes care of the ball well enough. I don’t like Rush for a big game but he’s safe for 14 or so, give or take 3. I’ve loft Swift as well on two teams though continue to win without him.
Wilson followed by Stevenson by a nose over Penny due to matchup. They are very even though that Penny matchup isn’t great. Stevenson vs. DET is juicy but I’d like to see him get more touches inside the 10. Want to see one more week of Dobbins before considering him and Allgeier is a bit of an unknown until we see a trend of touches.

I’d like to get St. Brown in but not sure if I take Waddle or Godwin out or just leave it alone.

Diggs, Waddle, Lamb and Godwin. I don’t think St. Brown is going to play. With Detroit having a bye next week there’s a lot of reasons to rest him this week. I think I just roll with what you have. McLaurin and Godwin is a coin flip but I’m leaning Godwin with Wentz struggling a bit.

Wooo … that’s a good one so early in the AM George. The matchups look relatively even though Carolina does perform relatively well vs. RBs. They haven’t allowed more than 72 rushing yards, and that was in week 2. Pierce continues to shine in production, efficiency and role. It’s a close call and both RBs are on the road. I’ll take Pierce for touches and role but this is very close. I think Wilson may have the higher ceiling here but the lower floor.

Ugh. I can’t stand the McVay style with RBs so I’m not going there. I’ll take Duvernay with Bateman out. I think safeties will be cheating up to stop Jackson’s running which could open up deep routes for Duvernay
